It won't be the cold and clear Bonfire Night many people may have hoped for, but it will be mostly dry across the UK. Light winds also mean that conditions for the fireworks this evening will be generally good. The settled period is expected to continue through the rest of the week. Issued 29th October 2024
Today brings a repeat performance of yesterday. There will be a lot of cloud and in places it will be thick enough to produce drizzle. Nonetheless, some brighter spells should develop and in any sunshine it will feel quite warm for the time of the year.
This evening it remains dry and apart from in the far north west it will be calm. Therefore, conditions for fireworks should generally be good.
Temperatures range from 10°C in the far north to 16°C near the south coast. Check the weather radar for the most up to date view.

UK Met UKV, Wednesday 6th November [Tap animation to toggle cities]
The next few days see very little change taking place. High pressure is forecast to remain the dominant feature of the weather. through the rest of the week, therefore it will be dry in much of the UK. However, in the north west more of an Atlantic influence is expected to bring a risk of rain at times. Temperatures will depend on cloud amounts to a large extent. Clearer skies mean warmer days but colder nights.
