New 16 day forecast features

Quick chart access and global geolocation

The 16-day weather forecasts on TWO have been upgraded, with two major improvements:

• Geolocation is now available globally, not just for the UK. To access this feature, make sure the toggle switch in the forecast selection bar at the top of the page is set to 16 day. Then, simply tap or click the geolocation button located on the right side of the forecast selection bar. This feature is compatible with smartphones, tablets, and PCs.

• If you're browsing a UK forecast location or postcode, you can now easily view charts displaying surface pressure and precipitation, air mass temperatures, temperatures, wind gusts, dew points, and storm risk for the selected day. Additionally, you can view charts for all time steps (0, 3, 6, 9, 12, 15, 18, 21) on the selected day. Previously, you had to switch to the chart viewer.

  To test these new features:

  i) Click on the link below to select the London forecast.

  ii) Select "Show details" for a specific day.

  iii) Choose "Show GFS charts."

  iv) Modify the chart hour as needed.

Update schedule

As before, the forecasts are updated four times each day to provide the most up-to-date information based on the latest data.
