Nice to see those of you in Northern England & Scotland getting some warmth.
Normally don't match or beat the southeast unless it's some long fetch south-westerly/foehn effect.

Here some cumulus has bubbled up and the temp has fallen to 21.4C

Third day in a row with a max of 24.2c, that's got to be a 1st - 22.7c currently.

Warmer than here, and you're welcome to it.... heat just means an unpleasant sweaty night as far as I'm concerned. 😁

Sunny here, as it has been all day, albeit with milky high cloud - and the hills a couple of miles away are shrouded in mist. 15.9, dew 13.0, with today's high being 17.1 - pretty much bang-on the 91-20 average for the time of year.

Let's just hope that that doesn't end up being "it" for our "summer" once this spell is over, as is often the case here.

Today's maximum temperature at Edinburgh Gogarbank has officially been confirmed as 23.4°C which one again, makes today our warmest day of this year so far.

The temperatures in most of the area are slowly falling back (currently around 19°C as I write), but not at the botanic gardens where the temperature in the last hour has jumped up to 21.84°C even though it's now after 8pm and not long to go until sunset.

That is happening because we've now lost that sea breeze from earlier on, and we now have just a light breeze from the WNW which should also remove Jerry's concerns from earlier on about the east coast haar possibly closing in tonight.
