Thought I'd get this thread started as we have a busy summer of cricket ahead.

On another note, it appears that Graeme Swann was arrested on suspicion of drink driving on Friday morning.

Quote:

Nottinghamshire have confirmed that England offspinner Graeme Swann was arrested on suspicion of drink-driving in the early hours of Friday morning.

The Daily Mirror reported the story, saying Swann had been stopped near his home in the West Bridgford area of Nottingham and his club said they would be making no further comment.

A spokeswoman for Nottinghamshire police said: "A 31-year-old man was arrested on Byron Road, West Bridgford, at 3.23 am on Friday, April 2 on suspicion of drink-driving."

Durham installed as favourites with most, but it's been a long time since anyone has won 3 in a row. Looking forward to the new season though.

The World Twenty20 (yes, another one!) starts next Friday in the West Indies.

How would everyone rate England's chances this time?

I'd say another defeat in the super eight stage, just like the previous two times. I just can't see England winning it.

Another brilliant innings from Morgan. He has the best reverse sweep I've ever seen

West Indies win by 8 wickets on D/L method. Shame the rain ruined it as it would have been a fascinating run chase.

What a complete farce this could end up being. It's raining in the WI again which means England would be out if this evenings game is rained off. The crime? Hitting the joint highest total in the competition so far and then being shafted by the weather and a D/L method that clearly doesn't work in Twenty/20

Good. I hope the whole ground is washed away this evening. It would be justice for yesterday. Less than 5 overs doesn't constitute a game and England would go through on net run-rate

England will face Pakistan, New Zealand and South Africa in the super eight stage.

That looks really tough and England will have to play out of their skins to make the semi finals.

The whole england has been a total farce so far in the T20 IMO. Mind you much of the T20 has been a farce last few days IMO. Good luck for the super eights though.

After Pakistan got off to a good start and threatened a big score (70-1 off 9), England have done really well to peg them back. Currently 123-7 off 18

Let's see how our balsa-wood batsmen do!
