K-H Waves at Sunset, 10th May

Just the one shot, I only noticed these as the last light was fading from the sunset, which wasn't that great on its own.  This is one of the best examples I've seen of K-H waves, a pity they were so far away.  Quality rubbish due to the situation (hand held, so had to up the ISO, use my rubbish lens, etc):

    Well captured Paul.oTongue

In my extremely limited experience with them they are a fleeting phenomena at best.oSmile

    The sunset really enhances them.oSmile

Those are beautiful Paul - I've yet to see any in real life, as Grant says - really enhanced by the sunset oApproveoSmileoSmile

Very nice. Great capture Paul and it shows the K-H waves very clearly.

Great stuff Paul. Not sure I've ever seen these in real life although I was close to getting something similar a few weeks backoSmile

Very nice capture in silhouette. In my experience too, a very transient phenomenon, no time to get a good vantage point or think about changing lenses!

Well spotted Paul, some beautiful examples of KH. oApproveYou've gotta be quick with these things too haven't you, and if you don't have your camera immediately to hand you've normally got no chance of a decent photo!oShocked

Great capture Paul, they are very elusive Big Smile I think I saw some on my way to Peterborough last Saturday, but unfortunately I was driving so had to content myself with speculative comments oWink
