From today's walk between Chichester and Midhurst

From the South Downs way above Cocking. The chalkstone is part of an art installation trail by Andy Goldsworthy, set up with the idea to follow his giant Millennium snowballs which melted in days; the chalkstones will disappear in centuries. Search 'chalkstone trail'.

The biggest patch of snow left after Tuesday's event. Some snow lying above 200m in sheltered places

The Devil's Jumps, a set of five tumuli, photo taken to show a bit of snow - it's difficult to photograph all five as they are in a straight line

Nice pics. I’ve cycled the SDW a couple of times and love that area. I have a vague goal to try and do it in one day next time instead of two. (Of course the real nutters do it there and back in a day!)

Lovely pictures - really adore that part of the South Downs. Love driving the A272 all the way through to Winchester with a stop off in Midhurst
