After all my endless moaning and whingeing, have to say we have the deepest snow cover since December 2010 here in Witney. 7 inches at its peak which is kind of unheard of for this neck of the woods.
Now I've had my fix, I couldn't care less about the rest of winter. The charts can do as they please. One very happy person here.

Sleet falling here now, despite the temperature dipping slightly to 1.3C, having been 1.5C earlier. Still a full cover of snow but definitely a bit of a thaw taking place.

Temperature dropped back to 1.3 deg C, DP to 0 deg C in 10 minutes; MetOffice automated has snow with us til this evening now. Is this the system continuing pivoting and moving East?

It’s stopped!! That was/is a lot of snow. But then we always get a lot of snow here. I don’t know what it is about this area, but we always seem to get buried when snow is forecast. Certainly since 2010.

Still light snow here although the wind is making it look much worse, our snow depths ranged between 5 and 8 inches but it's difficult to get a true reading because of slight drifting 6 inches I'd put down as the average measured. I can see dripping now so it's not going to stay very long but as a single event one to remember.

Snowing so heavily here, that despite the sog from the day's thaw, it's laying on the grass.

Wondering what it is doing back home now. Radar shows heavy ppn but the weather type indicates sleet. However several people in the sleet zone seem to be reporting snow!

Lots if intensification on the radar. In most of the areas that have already had fun and games. You couldn't make it up

Snowing moderately here. Definately looks like its intensifying on the radar. Winds have changed to the NE so should stop the thawing. Down to 7cm in most places.

Temp : 1.8c | DP : -1.0

Wind : NE 3.2mph

This is much better than I thought it would be here in Whitchurch, Hants. Last night there was barely a dusting but this morning I woke to a decent covering and it has been snowing continuously since maybe 10 am. The last 3 hours or so it has been persistent and moderate to heavy. I wonder how much longer it'll carry on? As a bonus I got a day off work due to the snow too

I find it quite ironic that the areas that usually do better than here such as Kent and Essex are stuck under rain.

It would be nice for us the have some intensification over us for a change.

Unusually, the Chilts has been a snow shield today despite the meto auto showing heavy snow.

Just a few sprinkles since 9 this morning.

Not expecting any more.
