Dutch Prime Minister Mark Rutte warned in a televised address to the nation  that most residents would get coronavirus, but he ruled out a full lockdown like other European countries.

Rutte says his government wants to build "group immunity" while waiting for a vaccine, by letting the least vulnerable people catch the virus while protecting the elderly and sick.

This could take "months, or even longer", he added.

That was clear from Italy too, fortunately almost all younger patients there have made it (so far!). The message was that quite a few younger patients needed intensive care, but almost all of them lived.

Still a disaster obviously and it's still evolving. Also our NHS is probably a worse system than the one in Lombardy. I feel so sorry for the NHS staff, they will go through absolute hell.

 

 

I can see them rushing this vaccine out if the tests in Monkeys goes as well as it did in Mice. They may have no choice.

Its horrendous. I’m sick of all the horse tulipabout the younger people can’t get it. Yes they do recover and won’t die, but they can and will end up in ICU on ventilators in some cases.
