How does it feel to be killing old people just so you can sink another couple of pints? Does it fill you with pride?

My point is you cant stop it unless the Govt is willing to go into lockdown and deliver food to peoples homes etc

The army is already being moved to prime locations to enforce the lockdown as soon as it is announced.

Why on earth should an "ethnically diverse city" not welcome the army? After all, they are all British, regardless of ethnicity.

Schools are in this for the long haul. We're expecting plenty of kids next week assuming our school is one that will be kept open, which seems very likely.

Our head is planning to set up a rota for staff to work pro-rata with a very different curriculum - outdoor work, lots of practical stuff etc. We are expecting to be open for the Easter holidays as well.

I've been sent home today. I'm not presenting with Covid-19 symptoms but have had a heavyish cold for the last two days and, in the words of my head, "I need you well for the long haul".

People don’t need to go to the pub. You can try to justify your behaviour as much as you like but there is no getting away from the fact that you are a self-centred child. Your behaviour is incredible. You’ve been told that you are likely to kill people but it still won’t stop you.

If you really want to contain the virus, then you have to do what the Chinese did and force people to stay indoors.

If you aren't prepared to go that far, then the virus will still spread. So why not just go all in for the herd strategy and take the short term hit?

Not quite. They underestimated it at first and the local (party) authorities at Hubei tried to cover it up, but their national CDC never lied and they have been sharing their data since early Jan.
