So are we allowed to drive to take excersise? This isn't clear.

The last thing, though, that I want is to be stopped by a COVID infected policeman.

If it is allowed, though, I might push it back to an even more ridiculous hour and bring a torch.

It is illegal to drive just to 'get out of the house'. Driving must have a purpose, and that purpose could be one of the four exceptions for leaving the house.

I just hope people don't push for clarification or the Govt will go for the draconian option which will knacker us all up.

I wonder if it's because there is a risk of ambulance crew catching coronavirus from a driver who has been involved in an accident, so stopping unnecessary driving?

As long as you have your AC set on internal not external seems many grey areas.

Everyone must stay at home to help stop the spread of coronavirus.
You should only leave the house for 1 of 4 reasons:
-shopping for basic necessities, for example food and medicine, which must be as infrequent as possible
-one form of exercise a day, for example a run, walk, or cycle – alone or with members of your household
-any medical need, or to provide care or to help a vulnerable person
-travelling to and from work, but only where this absolutely cannot be done from home

This suggests to me that you cannot drive anywhere just to exercise.

Well it's ambigious isn't it, because it does not explicitly rule it out and that BBC article suggests its allowed. And its not inconsistent with the other article that says you can't just 'go on a drive' as that is not covered by one of those four scenarios.

Mass self testing for antibodies will be available in the UK by Monday. Amazon will distribute the kits on behalf of the government. Like blood glucose testing although results will take longer - 10 to 15 mins as opposed to a few seconds. This is the game changer.
