Could Man Utd go the entire season unbeaten?

There must be a higher than 50% chance of that happening.

Excellent signing for Liverpool if this one pans out. Of course, the flight may yet get diverted to Stansted. We shall see.

So Darren Bent looks set to Join Villa then for £18m plus extras.

Good EPL who can score goals BUT it's a hell of alot of Money Imo. It's a Panic buy by Villa, Bent goes there and scores goals and keeps them in the EPL thats worth £30m alone but if it went pear shaped it would be a big los & certainly a big risk by Bent.

Surely for that money they can bring in 2 or 3 decent players.

Anyway Bent and Gabby up top or Bent & Carew? I'll go thr Later with Gabby out Wide Left, especially if that space is open if Downing goes to Anfield.

With Bent now gone to Villa, I don't see an obvious replacement during this transfer window, it will be more likely to take place in the summer. Welbeck will return to Man U at the end of the season and is out injured anyway, so maybe a loan or short term signing will do for now. Names being put forward include Philips or Owen, so we will have to wait and see.

I am disappointed to see Bent go, but the way he has been playing recently suggested that all was not right, so maybe long term it was the right decision for him to seek pastures new. I am hoping that his demise will not have a detrimental affect on our position come the end of the season.

Well if this story is true I think it a fair bet that United won't win the PL next year. They may not even win it this year, anyway.

The whispers coming out of Anfield are that Liverpool won't be signing Suarez as he's too expensive.

Increasingly worried faces in Liverpool as it's realised NESV may have deep pockets, but they've also got short arms.

Don't think he's all that great, though. As we've learnt, being good in the Eredivisie is no guarantee of being good in stronger leagues...

Still, could be worse, we could be trying to sign Stuart Downing

Interesting. Strangely, 'Arry doesn't seem to think Suarez is the right player, although most on the Tottenham board, including me, believe he is. He will be a good signing for Liverpool.

Spurs seem to be focusing on Hulk - more of a number 9 type signing - and one who would be an excellent signing if we could pull it off. I doubt it though.

EDIT: An ITK on the Spurs board claims we have submitted a bid of £23m for Suarez. We'll see how good he is. Fair price.

I did laugh when someone said Suarez was going to Liverpool because there are more Spanish speakers there. Er, I think not. But that's irrelevant anyway.

Reports today that Sunderland are looking in the waste paper bin for Bents replacement - Michael Owen, Ricardo Fuller and Kevin Phillips being mentioned. Don't these 3 have a combined age over 100 years?? I know the January window's tricky and any of the above would be a stop-gap until summer but... bloody hell! If I were a Mackem, I'd be worried. Well, even more worried than normal.

In other news, I've heard rumour that Rafael is trying to engineer a move out of Old Trafford, after having his head turned by both Barca and Real. Possible swap deal involving Sergio Ramos?

The energetic Keisuke Honda's rumoured to be on his way to the Premier League, too.

For me there has been one or 2 players that have left anfield that should have been kept namely Alonso and the little Israeli guy now at chelski (injured..?)Not sure who Liverpool could sign to play alongside Torres from players that are available / or affordable..?
