Liverpool & Benitez ensured that his career hit the buffers, though. We had glimpses of some special play, but he was in and out the side and it seems like no-one ever worked with him closely to take him to the next level. He obviously needs a move away in order to give his career a last shot - I just hope for the lad's sake that he gets a manager who knows how to get the best out of him.

Looks like our transfer tactic of offering clubs 17p and a packet of chewits for the players we want, then trying to unsettle them enough to slap in a transfer request, is hitting hurdles.

Suarez looks to be going nowhere as the two clubs' valuations are miles apart. As a Liverpool fan pondered, though, why are no other clubs seeming to be in for him?

Re Babel

He has undoubted raw talent it has just been mismanaged by Liverpool. Hopefully Babel will go away and get a send chance and make a name for himself. Many players have moved away from clubs and resurrected their careers

Man U find themselves a goal down early on, which they probably need in a potentially tricky fixture against a side who are aquitting themselves well in their first season in the Premiership. Utd have put out a strong side here, but there's no guarantees as so many of the "top" sides have found out to their cost this season.

The only bright thing for Arsenal tonight is Man U being 2 down.....my money is on a Man U 3-2 win though we have seen that so many times

2 each. Had to happen really.

Looks like Man Utd have dug themselves out of a hole with a come from behind victory. I really believe they will go through the season unbeaten now.

PS, I know it's 2-2 at present, but unfortunately Man Utd will get the inevitable late winner.

Haven't seen the game, but the BBC report says that Blackpool should have had a penalty when they were 2-0 up - that dirty, gobby little shat Rafael getting away with a foul on Varney, but the ref bottled it.

Man U's title for me , they look very strong and seem to be together as a unit.

What will they do without Giggs

It was a stick on penalty and at 3-0 I don't think even Man U would have come back, but those are the breaks you get as the top side in the land. Not right, not fair, but not going to change I'm afraid

Great game last night between West Ham and Birmingham and I think I've just about recovered from the thriller between Man United and Blackpool. I didn't see a way back at half time but Giggs changed everything, I still cannot believe he's not just playing in this league at his age, but that he's one of the best players in it, phenomenal!

Hernandez, got to be signing of the season for 6million quid, he was fantastic when he came on. We deserved the win in the end just about, but it could have been different if the ref had awarded the penalty after the foul by rafael. Glad he's ok, it was quite upsetting with his brother watching from the touchline as they gave him oxygen etc.

Guardian set to report a 'major football exclusive' around 5.30, according to McNulty from the Beeb (on Twitter). Lots and lots of rumours - not least Everton about to go into administration. Don't believe that one at all, although it has been widely rumoured all day.
