Apparently one of the supposed best Liverpool ITKs says the bindippers are about to pull out of the Suarez 'deal'. Doesn't necessarily mean 'Arry will come in, although Eales (our deal maker) was certainly in Holland last night.

Suarez is worth £20m IMO, though I would have a preference for Hulk, as 'howsyourcocoa' is now probably out of our price range. The press has been silent today regarding the latter agreeing to join Shitteh.

'Arry and Levy's wheeling and dealing regarding the transfer of VDV.

If the story below, supposedly from a Liverpool ITK is remotely true, then all I can say it was a finking masterstroke.

Quoting the poster of this little gem:

''Comes from the same source that told me about Purslow joining a couple of weeks before he did and also of the H&G takeover before it happened. Everytime he has told me something it’s been spot on.''

He goes on to quote the party concerned.

''How Spurs got Van Der Vaart.

When VDV's transfer to Bayern fell through – he was offered to Liverpool first for £8m. We didn’t have the money but Purslow and Hodgson decided to off load anyone they could. West Ham (of all clubs) offered £8m for Babel. We accepted and put him “in that helicopter”. Real Madrid accepted our bid.

In the meantime – Daniel Levy got wind of the transfer and offered Liverpool more money for Babel. Babel & Agent were more than happy to go and we accepted the higher bid.

Helicopter heads to Tottenham. Babel lands and is kept waiting for 3 hours for a medical – gets ____ off and leaves.
We don’t have time to get any money together and Tottenham call VDV’s agent and offer to buy him.
Rest as they say, is history."

Blackpool seem reluctant in letting C Adam further his career, they have turned down an offer from Liverpool to the tune of 4million

Reading between the lines, money doesn't appear to be a major issue with Henry either, if the right player becomes available on the Continent.

I am glad that he has gone down to England and made a name for himself..not many Scots players manage the transition.

Arry was at the Madrid cup derby looking at Diego Forlan. Arry has conceded wages would be a problem with Diego on 100K+ per week. IMO Diego would be an excellent foil for Defoe and would not just bring goals to Spurs but better overall play as Forlan is a very intelligent player. An attacking line up with Defoe, Forlan up front Lennon and Bale on the wings and Van Der Vaart joining attack from midfield which prem team wouldnt want that line up..?

I doubt if Man U will do any business over the transfer window, tho i think SAF will need to buy big in the summer.

His best days are probably behind him and I can think of better players to spend 100K a week on.

It's interesting that both players played for United at one one point.  I can't remember the circumstances of Rossi's loan move to Newcastle but I got the impression that Ferguson ran out of patience. Forlan, on the other hand, was given every chance. Like Rossi his Man U/EPL stats were poor though.

Hope this game (Wolves - Liverpool) livens up. Pretty poor so far. Skirtel is an accident waiting to happen.

Edit: 1-0 to the bindippers. Good lead up play, poor  positioning by Zubar.

Liverpool playing better than of late (towards the end of the half), but honest to God the way Jamie Redknapp is fondling himself over it is OTT.

Wolves are atrocious. In many ways it's a reverse of the fixture at Anfield.

Liverpool doing OK, but no more.
