Terrible performance by Spurs. Only Modric and (maybe) Cudicini excelled. Mind you, no BAE and with Bale having to go off injured, a point was probably about the best we could expect.

The LB position is troublesome. Bassong, who played there today - after Bale went off - is not a wing back but a central defender. It showed.

I laughed too.

On a side note, Bale close to agreement for a new 5-year contract at a basic 100K a week, rising during the contract.

Bollock chops reckons Joe Cole has already signed a deal to leave Chelsea. Clearly it isn't Spurs, so maybe United are indeed in the frame.

Blackburn beat West Brom 2-0

WBA can count themselves unlucky as they should have add a 2nd half penalty, how 2 out of the 3 officials didnt spot it I will never know.

Spurs seem to be focusing on Hulk - more of a number 9 type signing - and one who would be an excellent signing if we could pull it off. I doubt it though.

Meanwhile, Babel ain't going anywhere, according to 'King' Kenny this morning. Suarez deal apparently close to being done for £17.8m. Seems a low price for me, which tells me that it's either bollox, or Spurs simply haven't decided to bid.

Meanwhile, from a Spurs ITK.

Sub-plot, 'Arry and Levy could be heading for a fall out because Levy wants to splash the cash and 'Arry doesn't. Not a real turn-up for the book, there have been persistent rumours about this in recent weeks - not least regarding Suarez.

[Update 143] Appy as Arry RE Activity
who Appy as Arry
date 24/01/11
site COYS

I have been told to expect a lot of activity, both in and outs by Thursday. Levy not a happy bunny re the OS tulipfrom people like Coe and losing patience over our strikers perfomances (arn't we all?) He is very concerned that we might lose the Cash cow of the CL if we don't act. Things remain complicated and a lot depends on other clubs activities and in some case player choices, but we have our number ones and and some backups. I reconfirm we have had talks with Ajax and both Madrids and those are continuing and that Levy is ready to gamble more than Harry. My opinion, but if things don't happen this window and we fail to get CL then there could be a fall out between the two. Also my opinion , but I would rather Crouch go than Pav, but there is a market place and interest is higher for Pav than Crouch (suprise suprise)

Looks like the vultures circling Bloomfield Road will get their man - Charlie Adam has handed in a transfer request

Liverpool favourites to sign him - although I reckon Blackpool will hold out for around £6m. To be honest, I hope they benefit from a bidding war and get closer to £10m. I get the definite feeling they're being picked on.

Saying that, I'm not exactly sure where he'd fit in at Liverpool

Nicked from another site, regarding Suarez,

"While watching Voetbal International the tv show, they've just mentioned that Liverpool have not bid more than 15 mil euros and are trying to stick with that bid.. From the mouth of Johan Derksen himself (Dutch footie guru and owner of VI).

Meaning that the 20 mil quid that as mentioned in the press is far from reality since 15 mil euro is less than 13 mil pound = insultingly low.

Ajax are said to be growingly angered by this and might file a complaint to FIFA because, having spoken, with Suarez they've found out that Liverpool had meetings with their player without informing the Amsterdam club.

Basically they've told Suarez he could earn twice as much at Anfield and then tried to convince Ajax again to accept their offer.

Johan Derksen is very close with Johan Cruyff and is usually well informed.''

So it would appear the bindippers have been both cheap and naughty.
