In fact, where has this story about the BMA dropping their opposition to schools opening even come from? Their chair was on GMB just this morning stating that infections remain too high for them to open.

One further question to present this morning.

Sir Captain Tom Moore should absolutely be recognised for his wonderful efforts. I applaud the man I really do.

However do the government usually announce such things at this time of year? It seems like a good diversion to me.

My wife who is a primary teacher currently trying to work out how to safely set up her class for June 1st said this morning as she left for work “Why do the media hate us?”  😢


Just watch them become ‘heroes’ in the very same newspapers when one of them dies.

The gaping hole in that article is it's analysing the situation after measures have been put in place to mitigate CV AND  the event hasn't finished yet - this will especially be the case if we listen to stuff like this and lift restrictions.

As I recall, the main objection was that the virus wasn't eliminated but remained active in the nose.  Whilst not ideal, if it prevents infection and symptoms it would still be achieving a valuable function.


I've musing on the justifiable criticisms of the government flying around here and elsewhere and thinking that sloppy media coverage deserves at least as much flak.
