Just got a more ambitious walk fitted in before lockdown.

The view westwards from St Aldhelm's Head towards Weymouth, with some very tough sheep out in the gale

The view eastwards from Winspit towards Swanage. I was a bit disappointed that the waves weren't larger

Don't often comment but thank you for posting.  At least I should still be able to reach some of the places a little further west from Thursday. But avoiding that infamous large rock arch in between. The beach to the west of Scratchy Bottom remains my favourite though and its free car parking too once the shop shuts for the winter.

Yes it's a lovely part of the world. Back in July I did a 40-mile loop round there on my mountain bike, starting at 4am and watching the sunrise from the top of Ballard Down.

It was the first time I had been to Winspit quarry, which is a fabulous spot. With the limestone glowing in the warm July sunshine it felt like the Greek coast!
