A 5.2m tide today - it was 5.3m yesterday but that wasn't a day for being out taking photos!

8 years ago this was farmland but the EA put in a 'managed realignment scheme' , breaching the sea wall and promoting the creation of wetlands, now the RSPB Medmerry reserve. Story at https://player.vimeo.com/video/78071695 Today lots of waterfowl and lots of water at high tide -the photo was taken more than a mile from the open sea.

High tides also threaten buildings - this is the top end of Pagham Harbour at midday today. fancy owning the white house? I have a photo from 2008 with water over their lowest doorstep of 3
