Yesterday's cold front which moved south across Scotland and NE England had the appearance of a convective squall line off the east coast of Scotland. These pictures were taken from a colleague working onboard a heavy lift crane vessel about 10 miles east of St Andrews yesterday around 3pm. Winds ahead of the front were SW 30 knots then North 20-30 knots after the frontal passage, and the temperature fell abruptly from 9C to 4C.

There must be many other dramatic images like that taken from the rigs and vessels out there. Thanks for posting.
