I love it. A river and a very beautiful one too. The Mill, much the same... I could go on...

The Church, well that's something too and well worth a visit for anyone in the area.

Breamore House and not too far from a Roman Villa where several years ago the curatorial/publicity team sailed salaciously close to the wind with some 'artists' depictions of the bathing activities there. Which were published in a places to visit leaflet in conjunction with New Forest District Council and new Forest Tourism. For one year only.

Thank you David for those memories.

Lovely pictures - Oh to be in England, now that Summer's here! I'm now resigned to not getting out of Ireland this summer either so we will have to forgo our trip to England for another year - those photos are probably about as close as I will get to an English summer for this year at least!

Love this area. We often river-swam nearby and visited the miz-maze during one of our walks. I think I covered much of the area in a 1:2500 'sweep' whilst working in the OS as a surveyor many years ago.

I've even rung the bell in the church tower.

I think your pics have done justice to it.

My children all went swimming up there as well.
