Interesting...may put a lot of Prem Clubs on red alert come the summer. If SAF was to stand down i would be very happy with Van Gaal

Both Liverpool and Man C fall short in the Europa League Competition, Liverpool losing 1-0 in the first leg against Braga, while City lose 2-0 to Dynamo Kiev: Rangers meanwhile managed a 0-0 draw against PSV Eindhoven away from home

Liverpool were woeful.

Full credit to Braga, though. They really clattered into Liverpool and never gave them time to settle on the ball and it visibly unsettled the Liverpool players. Braga well worthy winners on the night. Braga very good at the 'dark arts', too. An interesting mix of hacking into tackles, nibbling at heels and diving to the ground like a shotgunned ballet dancer under even the feintest of touches. Yes, you expect one or the other, but I've never seen such an accomplished display on both fronts.

One for Saint. I must admit I split my sides when I read this. Thank God Gallas had no 'loyalty' to Arseandall and the Chavs.

Whilst this is clearly badly thought out, if I was a Liverpool fan I would think "the lad does have a point".........seeing him in any other jersey but the Liverpool red is bad, but seeing him in the Man U strip wold have been crushing.

As I just said in the other thread, as far as footballers go i do believe he is one of the nicer ones

So Spurs only managed a goaless draw at home to West Ham while Villa lost 1-0 at home to Wolves..........there's one hell of a dog fight at the bottom end of the league, with only 6 points separating the bottom 10 clubs  On the subject of teams struggling for survival, West Brom will be kicking themselves that they surrendered a 2 goal advantage at home to Arsenal although credit to the Gunners for being the better side and fighting back to secure a draw. Man U should have done better for the possession they had, but Bolton were well organised and made it difficult for the home side......disappointing that Johnny Evans picked up a straight red after his long absence..........no real indication of intent, but it would be difficult to argue with the ref's decision. A 1-0 voctory sees them 5 point clear of Arsenal who have a game in hand.

This was a big result for Man u especially with Arsenal faltering. Today we see Chelsea v Man City, Chelsea have a bit of momentum at the moment and are looking like the form side, however anything but 3 points in this tie will surely end any hopes of their title challenge.

Spurs fading badly at the moment...and need to find their goal scoring form.

Man U have had so many lucky, last-gasp wins from spawny goals that their name is surely on the Premier League trophy.

Still, one piece of good news, it will now cost even more money to tap-up buy Bale as he signed a contract extension yesterday.

Bindippers win 2-0. Another goal for Suarez - a player Harry Redknapp couldn't fit into the Tottenham style of play. Instead, we have Defoe who couldn't score in a brothel at the moment.

Was at the Spurs game Saturday and disappointed is not the word and I cannot argue that with a better finisher in the starting line up West Ham would have been put to the sword by half-time.  That being said, before his injury JD was on fire and all of our strikers are capable of performing on their day.  But for a bit of luck and sanding the woodwork, Saturday's game could have gone down as the day that Spurs restated their intentions to play Champions League football again next season!

Whilst some of Harry Redknapp's decisions can be frustrating, and the failure to buy a new striker in the January window is disappionting, Harry has worked wonders for this Club and calls for his replacement are premature at best!!!

Think on before you want rid of mr Redknapp he has done a fantastic job and hopefully only one or two mindless idiots do agree with you.

The best Spurs team in years is headed up by a corpse who couldn't score in a brothel at present.

Harry tried to be too clever by half during the transfer window, arguing that Suarez wasn't quite the player we wanted as it would be difficult to fit him in. Instead, we were left with a player with less talent and who can't play with VDV.

And an arrogant little prick Defoe is too. By all means wear a t-shirt with '100 goals' written on it when you've scored 100 goals, not on the expectation of hitting the magic number during a particular game, especially when you previously only had two to your name in the league this season. The man truly boils my pi$$.

It was Harry who tried to buy Chuckle Brother Jr. He did buy Pienaar- god forbid and seemingly is prepared to let Kranjar go as a result. He  also tried to buy Charlie Adam. Why do we need to buy Adam when arguably we have the greatest depth of any midfield in the EPL. It is totally insane.

But it's Harry's failure to secure the services of Suarez that's going to bite us on the bum. Far from qualifying for the CL next season it is not beyond the bounds of possibility that we'll be overhauled by the Bindippers and not qualify for Europe at all if Defoe (and to a lesser extent, Pav) continue to be mediocre. Unfortunately the transfer window has been and gone and we are stuck with them.

If we fail to qualify for Europe Crouch too will be about as useful as a chocolate fireguard because he can't score in the EPL either. He seems to reserve his best form for Europe, probably because European teams rarely come across such physical freaks and don't know how to deal with him.

Anyway, Harry's trial is coming up in the next couple of months. You never know, he might be managing the prison team.
