I wasn't sure whether I heard right when I saw the game yesterday. Now I know I was initially correct.

BTW, Spearing for me was the best player on the pitch and it would have been rough justice for Liverpool to lose.

I can see why Liverpool employ him - they don't have to pay VAT on his clothes.

Bale wins PFA Player of the Year award.

No great surprise.

Always far better to get recognition from your peers (some of whom will have had practical experience of playing against you) than hollow ringing endorsements from either the media or armchair pundits.

I doubt the outcome would have been that different had the vote cut off point been later. Still, that's academic anyway.

I've got a free £20 bet to use and it's going onto Man U to win tonight. There's just that depressing inevitability about it.

And if they don't win - great!

Suprised at the lack of posts from Liverpool fans regarding their great result at the emirates..... wait a minute and rewind that. I see they are too busy posting about Man Utd football club and United players.

Mags 0 - Unatted 0

Highlight of the game........Hernandez getting booked for doing a Nani impersonation.

Ferguson interviewed after the game. Asked about the Hernandez 'penalty' of course he said yes.

When the Mags 'penalty' was raised he claimed he hadn't seen it.

Ferguson really gets on my tits.

Arsenal will be kicking themselves now. Had they won on Sunday, they would be 5 points behind United with a game in hand and Man Utd still to visit the Emirates.

Now they will need to win all their remaining games and hope Man Utd lose against Chelsea.

Game of the season this...

As an aside, I think Jack Wilshere has the sort of face I'd love to punch.

Well it's down to the usual 2 then, Man United or Chelsea for the title

Surely that was the last chance for Arsenal.

Cliche yes, but the team at the top at the end of the season will be most deserving. Man U have lost some really bad games this season and have stolen points in games when they deserved nothing, but if they finish top of the pile in a few weeks time then nobody can argue with that.

The only side that can really argue about their place in the table being completely unjust is Sunderland, who should really be top 6 on performances this year.

Arsenal imploding off the field as well now with Fabregas attacking Wenger in a newspaper interview. They should have let him go to Barcelona last summer.
