An improvement on the previous links as there are a lot more in one place this year.
I've posted this before but as I type there's a proper blizzard taking place. The snow will fall and then melt for a bit but by the end of the month it seems to remain on the ground for the winter which is a long time up there. If you click on different links you can travel around the country. For example snow in Reykjavik is whilst not unusual not as much as one might expect. Today it's just unpleasantly windy it seems.

Meanwhile in Svalbard .... I've never seen it this green in mid October. Usually a full snow cover in place by late September:

At least temperatures are now dropping back down to below freezing so it will be frosty and eventually the snow will arrive!
