Despite a lot of high cloud it's been warmer today, 18 C which equals the 11th April max.

I've got a horrible feeling we will be having a few days of putrid haar now

A less appealing day today compared to yesterday with overcast skies and spitty rain making the current 13 C & low 90% H feel cold and clammy.

9.1C. Cloudy with spots of light rain.
Currently calm after yesterdays nagging blustery winds from the SSE.

Forecast is for heavy rain later and maybe the bonus of an imported evening sound and light show.

A very different feeling day today - it's sunny, with just a few clouds, but the main thing is the humidity... it feels like a summer's day as the dewpoint is the highest it's been for a few weeks. It's all associated with that plume moving in from the east (which itself is noteworthy, we don't often get a humid airmass coming in that way!)

Currently 15.1, dew 14.5, the high so far also being 15.1. Last night's low was 10.3.

It is finally feeling closer to Summer with 19 C, mid 70% H and sunshine in light winds even here on the coastal edge of Folkestone, easily shorts & T shirt weather. A very different feel to yesterday where trousers, cardie and even woolly hat were needed when I popped into the town.

Probably turn to sh1t again tomorrow after tonight's possible thundery stuff move through (assuming if Kent is even affected by that).

As expected the haar is troublesome today, coming and going. Up to 14 C in some weak sunshine recently but down to 11 C when the haar drifts in from the NE

Not quite summer like further west with a high of 15.1C and some brightness. Almost comfortable as there is no wind but good growing weather with the high moisture levels.
There are going to be record slug and snail populations perhaps this spring. The lid of my compost bin is a thicket of large snails that got through the winter unscathed underneath.
Should be in the garden thread of course.

The haar is beginning to flow over Arthur's Seat and the NE wind is increasing. We reached 14 C in a little hazy sun

Reached 15.9C despite limited sunny spells - until about 7pm when sea fog suddenly rolled in and dropped it to below 9C in minutes.

After a dull start to today with yet more easterly muck being dragged in from off the North Sea, the Sun has now broken through here in Edinburgh at long last with a temperature of around 11°C.

Looks like the forecast was a bust for the south today. It was never going to be as warm as north-western parts but I definitely saw a range of 13 to 19C forecast. Looking at tmaxes it would appear that most places have been more like 10 to 15C. Cloud cover has been the main factor

Had to laugh at tonight's BBC forecast. Said we would notice a dramatic drop in temperatures tomorrow. Not in Essex and Kent. That statement is based on their predicted max of 19C for S.Essex and Kent which in reality were struggling to briefly make 15C in the mist and thick cloud that lingered all day.

Light airs from the SW at 10C.
Cloudy, with the radar showing rain not far away, though I wouldn't be surprised if this misses us today.

I know you like the cold and warm to you is different to most people's but you must live in a very sheltered part of the Island. I don't know what the temperature was other than 14.4C in the rain as I left at 8pm. Max here, just 20 miles away was 15.4C at 17.45 when, apparently the sun broke through for a short while. Not my version of tropical.
