"Only" 24.6 as a high here, thanks to the sea breeze, but the dewpoint (also hovering around 19C) belies a muggy night to come.
Indoors the heat is building, as it's been sunny all day... 25C downstairs, 27C upstairs.
Tomorrow will be hell.

I agreed and too embarassing to let my relatives abroad read this when they see temps only poxy high 20's or low 30's for few hours.  Never heard such a warming in the 1980's 1990's heatwave,  They just wnat to copy USA with naming storms and heatwaves when other places get heatwave lasting for a week to several weeks that need a warning.

We've had a high of 26c and now sat at 22c, humidity 63% and indoors it's a comfortable 23c, the fan in the NW window still managing to make it feel cooler. I'm sure it won't be much longer before we see the bats swooping around the garden.

An absolutely cack night and I feel like a zombie this morning - that's what a low of 19C (outdoors) and 24C (indoors) does to me. It genuinely baffles me how people can find that comfortable!
The MetO raw has 33C as the high today, with 7 hours above 30C. Unfortunately for me, one of those hours is when I have a doctor's appointment - parking will be fun, then I'll have to barge my way past a load of gurning tourists, then swelter for a bit, before coming back to a house like an oven. Deep, deep joy!

Very shocked to see the rain this morning as it not forecasted and many other areas got rain heading east ward.  32C for here today with full sun is cancelled as now with damp ground will encourage cloudy overcast cool day today. Hope next proper prolonged sunny heatwave in September which soon models show dateline. Rack off heat phantom spike bring back traditional UK heatwaves like in the 90s.

If you were back in the SE I don't think you would have that problem Jiries, consequence of being further NW. 

Same here, we have showers at the moment and 16.0c.  It will brighten up and get warm but cooler than forecast a few days ago (automated says 27c for Leeds now rather than 30c a few days ago) .

I do miss the 80s and 90s, when we would get storms moving up from France in the night...

It not the location where I stay as it central midlands as still here more drier than the south due to lot of sliding rain there earlier this year.  The rain had reached Reading and moving to hot spots today so will thwart their mid 30s temps.  Saw the radar screen shot from NW forum. It quite extensive rain band from Reading northward moving east.

Some cloud floating in from the west, but mainly blue skies, for now. Temperature 19.1c and humidity at 93%. Some possible showers have always been in the forecast for today, here, in spite of that the temperature has remained forecast as being in the 32/33c area so it may end up very steamy here soon so in lieu of that I am going to crack on with work early, so that I'm not dealing with the bulk of it when it's really hot and sticky! Thankfully the work room is on the north side of the house and the sun doesn't get there until much later in the afternoon.
Indoors in the living room it's sitting at 22c, so not that unpleasant.

Talking of which, we have lift-off. The sun has now risen above the hazel tree in my garden and is shining brightly into the closed curtains of my living room. 20.5 / dew 18.4, and I expect a 3C/hour rise for the next couple of hours, and maybe 2C an hour beyond that.

29.8c the high yesterday at Wisley. 
It does look like there is more cloud than forecast further east this morning.  Will it disperse? Could stop 35c being reached. 33c seems likely still though.

Just hit 24 here, with a 19.6 dewpoint too. There's some cloud moving in from the west, presumably associated with the storms further north. A welcome bonus, as it should depress temperatures just that little bit...

No rain here overnight as far as I can tell but there was a line of Ac castellanus cloud when I opened the curtains which indicates some instability. Seems to be vanishing rapidly though and the sun is beating down. 

Wasn’t uncomfortably warm overnight, in fact I woke up and needed to pull the duvet back over me!
