That makes today our sunniest day of this month so far.

So far this month, Edinburgh Gogarbank has had a total of 81.0 hours of sunshine which is 55.6% of the 1991-2020 August average and we're not even halfway through the month just yet.

Because of that, we are currently on course as it stands just now to finally get that all elusive first sunnier than average month here since January at long last although tomorrow is forecast to be a completely different story.

Currently around 15°C here in Edinburgh.
The north of Edinburgh, usually always missing out on snow events which occur not just within the rest of Scotland or the UK, but also within the rest of Edinburgh.

Heading south for some sun and warmth. 
Set off 5am this morning in partly cloudy skies and 14c. Warmish but breezy in Kent was approx 22c at Folkestone at lunchtime.  Heading through N France gradually got warmer and now 28c where I am in Reims.

Mostly cloudy here, and most unusually there's been recent rain! 
4.2mm fell overnight, which is more than in the last three and a half weeks combined. I suspect there'll be no sign of it by lunchtime, as it's meant to be another sunny day.
It's currently 16.9, dew 15.9, and that's the low so far. Yesterday's high was 24.2.

In addition to that, the temperatures during today have also been rather disappointing at no higher than around 17°C.

Meanwhile, the temperature here in Edinburgh is currently around 15°C.

Another typical summer's day here - sunny all day long, next to no wind, warm. At least it's not humid, but that rain yesterday morning seems like a distant memory.
22.8, dew 13.8, with today's high being a degree above average at 24.1.
