Some big rainfall contrasts across the south east the past 2 days practically none for parts of Kent 
Eg your area and yet here  approaching 60 mm for the 2 days

Here's the 24-hour total chart as worked out from the radar - via NW. It's 24 hours up to half four today.

You can see the band of heavy rain over southern Sheppey from this morning's storms... a mile or two away they had 14mm, compared to zero here.

Although the temperature is around 18c currently, it’s incredibly humid here. Wouldn’t be at all surprised to have yet another night of storm activity at some stage

Looks like a chunk of the instability has gone to the North Sea. Be interesting to see how much of the warning area gets any storms over the next 24 hours. Be good to see something in Essex!

My Virgin media has gone down no BT landline either, fortunately the 4g back up is working. Very loud thunder, and lots of lighting but not much rain. 
I think I prefer the heavy rain type of storm, as lighting damages comms. Happened this time last year as well

The only flashes and bangs here were from some inconsiderate arsehole who decided to have a massive fireworks display just before 10 last night - work me up, and I was most unimpressed. My eye's still sore today as a result of being startled awake.

There were about 4 raindrops on the window this morning, as a light shower zipped through. All the fun and games is much further west, and the Reading area seems to have had a lot of rain, 25-30mm or so.

Blackbushe weather station is showing zero for the day so I think the showers must have largely missed here.

Was sunny 20 minutes ago but gone quite dark again now. We seem to be in the "eye of the storm".

Last time was in June 2016 during the thunderstorm well over head my flat in Slough that cut my BT intenet.  Nothing here due to overcast weather prevent it from happening unlike in EU far much better with 30's temps, very sunny follow by storms, that how it should be for a decent storm.

We had a direct hit from a ferocious thunderstorm last night about 3am. Frequent lightning, torrential rain and very loud crashes of thunder. Rain only lasted about 20 minutes but thunder and lightning a little longer.
Just had more heavy rain with some more thunder for a good 30 minutes. Seems to be clearing westwards now.

Two big thunderstorms rolled through here overnight. Very loud (and some very close) thunder and extremely heavy rain. I forgot to turn the outside lights off and could see the water flowing off the ground floor extension roof completely missing the gutters. Main road like a river. Lots of leaves and small twigs down due to the rain on this morning's dog walk. Still warm and humid but suspect next week will feel quite autumnal with the cooler weather, once again very damp ground and the late summer leaf fall
Oh well, I suppose one in May and two in one September night makes up for zero night time storms in all of Jun/Jul/Aug

More rain looks to be on the way, too...
