For the third morning in a row, we once again have thick fog and overcast conditions to start the day here in Edinburgh.

Currently around 15°C here in Edinburgh.

Partly cloudy here with the sun shining. It's cooler than of late but the humidity remains - 93% RH, 15.9, dew 14.7.  The low was 14.9 and yesterday's high was 21.2.
Just a few drops of rain overnight, nowhere near enough to tip the gauge. I'm hoping for some rain today!

A dull, grey day turned sunny and warm 22C after midday. We had an idyllic visit to the woods and a local "food fayre".  [Now baking "flatbread" for our tea!] Clouding up again now and temperature dropping to below 20C.

The fog lifted for a while today but unlike yesterday when we at least saw a little bit of hazy sunshine in the latter part of the afternoon, there hasn't been even the slightest hint of any brightness today.

It's gloomy out there just now, even to the point where it's now already getting a bit dark and the mist and fog is gradually creeping in once again from off the North Sea.

Currently around 15°C here in Edinburgh but it actually feels a little bit chilly in that wind from off the North Sea and I've even had to put a jumper on as a result.

Edit:

... and now that horribly drizzly stuff is back again as well.

There's been none of the fog today which has plagued us over the last few days and we've also lost that wind from off the North Sea.

Yet, today has still been a mostly dull and overcast day with only the odd break in that cloud earlier on this morning which allowed us to see only a brief glimpse of the Sun.

Currently around 14°C here in Edinburgh.

Mostly cloudy, breezy and humid today - the radar shows some drizzly light rain heading this way and I'm not at all surprised! It'll be the "spots of drizzle in the wind" sort, I suspect.

16.7, dew 14.0, which is the high so far. The overnight low was an impressive 10.2, and I'm hopeful that will be beaten by the weekend.

It's clear though that the Arctic airmass is yet to arrive here. GFS shows a marked switch overnight, with some rain on a cold front and then both the air temperature and dewpoint fall away.

Tomorrow will, I suspect, have a very different feel to things!

Blustery showers coming through and it's 7.7C - feeling distinctly autumnal!
It's presently -1C on the summit of Cairngorm with a gale force wind and snow showers. A dusting of snow is showing on the Ptarmigan webcam which is 150m below the summit.
