A dull and wet morning here in Edinburgh courtesy of Storm Ashley.

We are under an official Met Office yellow warning for wind here in Edinburgh and although those winds haven't yet arrived here, they will no doubt do so before long.

Currently around 11°C here in Edinburgh.

The north of Edinburgh, usually always missing out on snow events which occur not just within the rest of Scotland or the UK, but also within the rest of Edinburgh.

Feeling the effects of this in-your-face strong southerly wind as it is coming straight in from the harbour, but not much rain so far today at 1.6 mm. All making the current 14.7 C & mid 90% H feel quite fresh and airy.
Folkestone Harbour.

This morning isn't quite as windy as last when maximum wind gusts at Edinburgh Gogarbank reached around 54 mph from the SW and there has also been a few decent sunny spells to begin today.

However, it's still fairly windy with a number of blustery showers continuing to filter through the Forth-Clyde Valley towards us.

Currently around 12°C here in Edinburgh.

The north of Edinburgh, usually always missing out on snow events which occur not just within the rest of Scotland or the UK, but also within the rest of Edinburgh.

Dull and wet all day from the stalled rain area in the Channel giving a further 10mm today
Last nights BBC forecast was a little bit of rain in the SE clearing . Well it's been a thoroughly wet miserable day and more to come yet

Did anyone else observe the very orange, red sky last night, at around sunset? I know they did in London, and we had he same up here to the point that my husband even mentioned it, which is unusual for him as it's usually me telling him to "come look".
Currently we have 50/50 cloud and blue sky, some breeze 10.6c.
