This morning is much drier than yesterday here in Edinburgh but it's another dull and overcast start to yet another day as our late autumn permacast hell goes on into yet another day.

Last night was yet another night in which the temperatures have refused to drop and it is the only the fact that the temperature at Edinburgh Gogarbank was 9.9°C as at 7am GMT (07:00 UTC) this morning (and therefore only just in single figures and no more) which has saved us from what would otherwise have been yet another double figures minimum temperature which is just ridiculous given that we are now only a few weeks away from the start of the meteorological winter.😡
The north of Edinburgh, usually always missing out on snow events which occur not just within the rest of Scotland or the UK, but also within the rest of Edinburgh.

Looks like another nice day here today.
Light winds and a nice sunrise with largely clear skies and currently 4°C here in this part of the city (but cooler inland).

Been mild, dull and grey here for days. Made a nice change to watch the veteran car run in the dry whilst on the morning dog walk. Always looks grim in those old open cars in the driving rain

Dull, with a light easterly breeze. At least it's dry, with yesterday's drizzle having fizzled out.

12.5, dew 9.7, the high so far being 12.6 and last night's low being 11.8. Yesterday's maximum was 14.2.

Rather overcast but dry. There is a bit more of a chill at 11.8 C & high 80% H in a light east breeze adding to the clammy feel.

It is a glorious autumn day here today. Just had a walk on one the city’s two beaches and in the light winds with blue skies it felt pleasantly warm and not very November-like. Currently 11.3°C and sunny.

Went for a pleasant walk this morning - I had guessed 10C but it was 11-12C. Still a bit cloudy and gloomy with a bit of a southerly wind. A bit of sunlight came through as we walked along the Witham. We passed a pumping station [Southrey] which last spring was flooded to the door lintels! All normal now - but the transformer outside - which had been flooded half-way up back them, now has a replacement transformer next to it, sitting on a massive 1-2m high plinth. No harm in being prepared!

Down here it couldn't be any more gloomy, could end up as one of those rare days with no sun at all. The temperature's only varied by at most 0.8C since midnight, but as Ian noted it feels colder than of late - the reason is the dewpoint has fallen a couple of degrees since yesterday.

12.2, dew 9.6.

Lovely sunny day, about as good as it gets here in November.  Not a cloud in the sky earlier.

Echoing the last post - a fantastic November day here in Aberdeenshire. Maximum gust all day just 4 knots and a totally blue sky from dawn with a low blazing sun.

A gradual cool-down over the past couple of days...
It's still overcast, there's a light wind from the east and it's 10.5, dew 8.6. The overnight low was 10.3 and the high yesterday was 12.6 - not exactly a massive diurnal range!
The sun's meant to come out today and, if it does, it should be a bit warmer.

October was another dull month up here. I've been down in N. Yorks for 5 days (Thurs-Mon) for a family wedding & walking with friends as November arrived
It hardly got light throughout, oppressively gloomy but very calm and eerily quiet in the countryside with constant light drizzle in the air.
Drove back to Edinburgh today and it was exactly the same all the way here. Here we go again 🤢
