Liverpool's gamble on giving Dalglish the manager's job has backfired spectacularly.
I said at the time I wasn't convinced he was the right choice (I don't particularly rate his first spell, and think he started the long decline at Anfield, with the poor quality replacements for our legendary players). Being out of the game so long tells me he is limited in his grasp of the modern game. He gave the team a boost when he joined, but his tactics appear to be easily countered and he can no longer get the players up for games.
The problem the Liverpool owners have now is that it'd be sacrilege to sack 'King Kenny' and there's a large group of fans who would be horrified. Yet it's clear that Liverpool need someone who can mastermind a revolution at the club, someone with new ideas. Would NESV bankroll such a move, though???
