First snow flurries have appeared on the snowdar of the coast of yorkshire. Pathetically light but snow signals nevertheless. 

And the winner of the first place to see snow falling this cold snap is........

A few snow grains here mid afternoon, but since then some brighter patches came through.

Here's afew pics taken around 8:30 am today in Portree before I dropped Ayla off at nursery. A stunning golden sunrise was in progress and there was frost underfoot. And the snow capped Cuillin of course.

These sunny, crisp winter conditions are easily my most favorite weather condition after nice cold and dry snow.

Though it is a lot warmer this evening than it has been (I blame that on the mass media getting in a tiz about cold again )....
