I think this is closer to the true CET value when adjustments are considered.

Having underestimated the impact of the below average North Sea temps during the easterly spell, I'm left needing the CET to rise by around 2°C during the rest of the month. In a typical year it rises by about 1°C from here. The model output is volatile at the moment, with the longer-term ranging from unsettled and on the cool side to often warm, but not exceptionally so.

Next week could be anything from very warm at times (from a CET perspective) to a mix of just below and just above average (thinking of the GFS 12z op run for that one).

All said and done, I'm anticipating another 1.0°C error at the very least *shrug*

Looks and sounds about right I reckon.

Interesting - perhaps I underestimated the CET in my last post.

My local mean is 13.26°C for 1st-15th June.

I'm hopeful that conditions from now until Wednesday or Thursday will give the CET a nice boost as night temps hold up at 12-15°C quite widely while day temps... well, they could be anything from 18 to 30°C according to today's model output Given the shift from GFS and GEM tonight, and in light of ECM and UKMO holding firm, I'm thinking mid-20's with a bit of luck.

The CET usually reflects the temps that I experience locally but that's not the case this month.  We've had most days in June getting to at least 20c, with relatively mild nights.  I really can't complain about the weather I'm getting - for a change! 

Are they going to update this damn thing or not.
