Hi All,

Just wanted to share a few photos with you of the baby bluetits.

My babies fledged about a week and half ago, from our bird nest box in the garden. Has been a labour of love especially trying to keep my cat away from the box

Anyhows....... spotted one on the shed roof, sorry it a bit blurry, as its taken through the kitchen window...

Then we had a horrific rain storm and the poor little things were soaked to their feathers and this is what ensued.

Couldnt believe how close i could get to them, they have no fear at the moment. So cute and soooo small

Feeding time.......

Starting to dry out......

Bless their little hearts, the mum and dad bluetits look dishevelled and knackered. But they r sooooooo cute

A long time ago, I was walking in the country and became aware of about 10 or so baby bluetits hidden in the hedgerow. They would come on my finger with no fear whatsoever - I was amazed at this - but have realised, that many survival responses in young animals (including hunting) have to be learned

Obviously they have to learn fast.

"The professional standards of science must impose a framework of discipline and at the same time encourage rebellion against it". – Michael Polyani (1962)
"If climate science is sound and accurate, then it should be able to respond effectively to all the points raised…." - Grandad
"The whole problem with the world is that fools and fanatics are always so certain of themselves, and wiser people so full of doubts". - Bertrand Russell
"Science is the belief in the ignorance of the experts" – Richard Feynman
"A consensus means that everyone agrees to say collectively what no one believes individually.”- Abba Eban, Israeli diplomat
