I don't have a proper thermometer in the house, but I do have a little device that I use when cycling, which for some reason measures temperature... and does so in fahrenheight

Currently - when stood upright to minimise contact with surfaces - it reads 74.8°F which equates to 23.8°C

That more or less matches the outdoor temperature of 24.1°C

Living room is attached to a south-facing glass roofed conservatory, so it's a warm 30.5C inside at the moment, down from 33.4C earlier.

I have moved my thermometer to the coolest room in the house for the entirety of this hot spell. It is located in the hallway and the current temperature is 23.5c.

All other rooms are considerably warmer, especially our west facing bedroom. I have forgotten to keep the black out curtains closed and as a result it is 29c up there at the moment...d'oh

23.0c atm - which is rather warm for my house.

Last night when I went to bed my bedroom was 21.6c ...... which is more than 10c above my optimum sleeping temp (I'm not a Venusian lizard )   Suspect the next few nights will be worse.  Stupid weather

21.1C in the study, 20.3C in the living room, feels just perfect really - enough for just shorts and tshirt, I can feel the humidity has risen a tiny bit over the last hour as is usually the case at night anyway. But it still feels nice in here.

Bang on 22.0C here in the study, 22.2C in the bedroom, I don't think it's hot enough for a fan though (our fan been gathering dust since 2006 ). But it's getting to that border line level now, once it get's to 23 or 24C I start to feel a bit uncomfortable especially if it gets like that in the bedroom. Might be time to ditch the duvet cover tonight for the first time in god knows how long! See how it goes.

I got one I these max/min thermometers yesterday and left it in the conservatory today.. the conservatory door has been open all day due to family been at home yet it's still managed a fearsome 54C !!!

It gets a lot hotter then that though with door closed - makes for a nice dry sauna 😉
