22.3C now and sunny, just the odd bit of cumulus drifting by, and the temperature is rising nicely now. Much cooler than yesterday's 28C, however..

Apart from some high cloud looking westwards it's another sunny very warm day here, really warming up also indoors and feeling a bit more sticky too. Although nothing unbearable. It's not July 2006.

27c here now and feeling really hot.

I'm about a degree ahead of my nearest official station at Filton, so may well be reading a touch high

Top notch here. Blue skies, very warm and a 'nice' easterly breeze serving to adequately waft both the warmth from one's forehead and the girls skirts in appropriate and equal measure.

What with the mid afternoon heat really getting going and yet we have this brisk E or NE wind, this must make for ideal condition for dust devils to spring up on farmer fields, etc? Especially as everything are now bone dry.

27.3C now in an increasing breeze.

I do however expect that the breeze is a result of the increasing thermal differences between sun soaked gardens and shaded north facing houses in street as i am recoding tempd next to side alley between the two lol. No noticeable increase in garden breeze.

So in a nutshell it feels warmer and probably is warmer then the 27.3C if past 30 min would suggest.

22.7c so far, blue skies and feels much fresher than yesterday. Was shaping up to be very hot today, then cloud and mist rolled in and a keen easterly breeze . Thankfully skies cleared after an hour though .

I went for a walk in the Lake District today, there was a suprising amount of cloud around, above 900m there was cloud cover. Still very warm though

On the rise again 28.3C, a whole degree rise in half hour. Definitely the thermal gradient at play here.

At gosport weather station rhe humidity is low - 37%. Maybe this is why night time temps lately have still be able to drop so low after very warm days. Last night again a low of 14C after a day of high twenties this is for us cool.

Cracking the flags once again today. Totally clear skies today unlike yesterday where a bit of cloud bubbled up during the day. Went into town earlier and car thermometer was reading between 27.5 and 29.0C on the way.

Possibly won't quite make a 30.0C somewhere today... Southampton was 28.9C at 3pm.

Solent however is pushing for it on the hourly updates, here in portsmouth because of the breeze the temps have been yo-yo all afternoon and I suspect the same for Solent, I think once met have done full analyses this evening we will see Solent has gotten higher then its hourly updates have said. Also otterbourne water works just outside Southampton might be one to watch - I think this is the new Southampton weather station.

I'm only recording 20.9 C in the shade and there is a breeze, but thanks to the strong unbroken sunshine I'm pottering about the house in just shorts (my arms and legs are quite red now). Also, every windows are wide open to freshen the house out.
