25.0C here, and feels much warmer than recently due to virtually no wind. Seems like the Vale of York, say, Church Fenton, was seriously impeded this morning with low cloud and fog, but it was clear here. In fact, Church Fenton (9m ASL) at 11:00 was only 20C compared to 23C at Leeds Bradford (207m ASL). Perhaps down to the wind - NNW here compared to ESE at Church Fenton.

Clear as a bell since 6am when I was up, and our nearest station at Linton On Ouse has just got up to 21c. Some other local factors at work I suspect, as you suggest the onshore breeze is probably the culprit.

Gotta laugh at the nonsense on that WUnderground pan and scan map showing the "current temperatures". Stations within 10 miles of each other showing temperatures that differ by more than 10 degrees.


Apparently it is 27c in the centre of York at the moment. Is it b*g*ery.


Must be an awful lot of sensors in people's sheds.

I find these reports as accurate as any. Mainly official stations, airfields, etc.
A 'fresher' feel today with lower dps so temperatures of 22/23C widely nownare about right IMO.

There can 'potentialy' be a huge difference in temperatures but humidity & dew points I don't know.

For example yesterday I left home for work around 4.30pm and it was over 28C by the time I had gotten to Milton it was around 4C cooler ;-)

That link is on the east side of gosport ;-)

It's passed the 25C mark again in hilsea area :---)

And I'm sorry I didn't realise you just making an opinion on the dew points/ humidity, [sn_blush] [sn_smile]
