As of 2pm it looks like officially Costa-del-Solent is once again the UK hotspot.

27.1C is my max today at 3.15pm πŸ™‚

Not as warm as yesterday at this point however unlike yesterday today the winds have died down more during the afternoon so I'm still optimistic we will hit at least 28C maybe even 29C.

26.4°C here. Lower humidity than yesterday but the deepest blue sky I can ever recall seeing in July! The sun feels staggeringly hot, more like being in the Med. with sunbathing a challenge to behold.

It's breezy again but that's not really making much difference. Truly memorable weather, shame some temporary cloud looks likely later on tomorrow

Fluctuating in the mid 26C range at the moment so I don't think 28C let alone 29C will be reached in north Pompey today - 27.1C remains my highest today.

Got up to 26.6C here, now down to 25.9C. I think the cloud earlier spoiled the chances of getting a degree or two higher.

Might be worth looking at Durham's official temp (it is an official station but releases its data later). Max today (on my PWS): 30.2°C.

I am beside myself in a way that only fellow weather buffs could understand.

Reached 26.8C at 12:30pm. Not that I was able to enjoy it stuck in an office and during the afternoon it turned overcast and right now the temperature is a dire 15.6C Just horrendous and even worse than last years warmest day of the year when it dropped from 24.5C during working hours to 17C and rain by evening.

Not had a single day of wall to wall sunshine from this underwhelming spell and tomorrow looks awful as does the weekend and next week. No way is this the best spell of weather for 7 years or even the best spell of summer weather for 7 years
