July 1994 was a great summer month. Plenty of heat and very thundery at times. From memory, they had to close the A12 trunk road due to heat expanding the concrete blocks from which it is made, causing them to expand and ride up

I remember being on holiday in Skegness at that time and it was really hot. Probably the best weather I ever had for a holiday in the UK.
