The July Prediction Game 2013 Chart

Well this is how it stands at the moment in visual format. Seems that the first 30°C will shake things up a bit if it takes until Friday or Saturday... it also depends what happens over in N. Ireland of course. Can't believe the max. temp there was just 0.1°C below 30°C on Monday!

I can't see your images SC.  Well done to Rob K.  Looks like I'll be somewhere at the bottom of the pile this month.

What is going on with the images...? I can see them fine, as can some other people, but then some of you clearly can't

I wonder if it's that Windows update - the same one that caused Gavin P's videos to stop working for some people for a time. What was it he did to fix that...

Oooh!  I'm loving this weather!  Already had three cool showers today and I'm ready for another.  Also just eaten two ice creams and now I feel sick!

I'm making vodka jelly in the freezer to take to a party. Unfortunately my house mate is baking a cake...hot house!
Well I certainly got the 30 degree forecast wrong by three days, but at least we made it down here in Exeter.
Getting drunk is the only way I'll get any sleep tonight.

Well those lucky members who can see the table will now find it to be updated with the first 30°C results

ARTzeman was closest having gone for 11th July. The rest of us went sooner than that, with RobSnowman going for 10th, then four of you all going for 8th followd by another four going for 7th.

Well done to ARTzeman and also to RobSnowman . Kudos to all those who went for 8th instead of 7th like I did. Can't say it's done my monthly league position any good at all  but it's just a blip I'm sure

It's probably just as well I can't see the table.  It sounds like I'm right at the bottom!

Well done to those who thought the heat would turn up mid month!

Highest official temperature so far is 31.4 degrees Celsius at Heathrow. Bang on my estimate. Wouldn't surprise me if some places beat that this week though. July is looking like a month of near misses for my predicitions

I'm hoping it gets a couple of degrees higher this month.  I need to get onto the table!

Can't believe I predicted the 5th would see the first 25 degrees but it was on the 4th, I predicted the 8th would see the first 30 but it only reached 29.9 and now I have to wait and see whether 31.4 degrees is beaten this week.

So, so close! Going to be miles off with my rainfall and sunshine predictions though.

The July Prediction Game 2013 Chart

Here we are then - hope everyone can see the chart this time! As you can see it was a close-run month in the end, with Rob K just about claiming the victory ahead of ManUtdMatt1986, who in turn was also just 1 point ahead of Vince... it's not often 3 points seperate the top three! Very well done to all our podium finishers, particularly Rob K. I never thought I chimp at a typewriter would one day win a prediction game

For the individual categories, closest predictions were: highest UK temp - Caz (just 0.2°C out, nice one), lowest UK temp - Domma (also just 0.2°C out, well done), % average rainfall - Domma again (just 6% out, good one), % average sunshine - Vince (2% out... great effort there and the only member going for an exceptionally sunny July).

Thanks as always to all entrants  The seasonal and annual league tables will be ready soon

The Fun Prediction Game 2013 Scores so Far

The annual league graph reveals a change at the top, with RobSnowman slipping to second as I climb to the top... this year continues to be kind to me.

As can clearly be seen, there's quite some variation in attendence this year, with only two members in each of the 'missed one month' and 'missed two months' bands, and Gooner all alone in the 'missed three months' club.

Ironically, this month's winner has only entered in one month previously - missed opportunity perhaps
