Observations between 8 pm last night and 7.30 pm currently.

LAST NIGHT: Mostly clear.
THIS MORNING: Scattered cumulus and spells of hazy sunshine.
THIS AFTERNOON: Hazy sunshine.
CURRENT: Fine.     19.7 C.        76% humidity.      Dewpoint: 15.4 C.      Light south west winds.           Falling slowly to 1022.4 mb.

WINDS: Calm last night, then light south west during the day.
AIR QUALITY: Good this morning, rather poor in afternoon due to the BBQ effect.
VISBILITY: Good. Haze.
COMFORT FACTOR: Warmer than yesterday. Continuing bone dry where my lawn is turning more and more brown by the day (third season in a row that it's gone that way - I might as well pave the thing over).
RAINFALL (in mm):   Nil.

Seems a tad high.  Bournemouth, Hurn, the highest I've seen at 31.0c, maybe rounded up.

Max. here 28.1c, official reading at nearby Kenley airfield  27.9c.

A beautiful day, warm throughout with a very light breeze.


Patchy morning cloud cleared to leave a sunny afternoon becoming rather hazy this evening.

A siginificant improvement on yesterday. 22.4C reached in sunshine during the afternoon and unlike during the week the temperature was maintained through the evening. It was still 21.6C at 8pm though starting to cool rapidly now - down to 19.4C.
