Pretty impressive looking storm over Caen near the north French coast.
Was having a bit of fresh air at work last night, if you could call it that, it was really muggy, probably around 00.30 I saw several flases of lightning and heard a rumble of thunder so at least witness a bit of rare night time activity.
I've got to be in line for some storms in my location surely....??
something brewing to our south
Alan might even turn his heating off tonight

Isolated thunderstorms with very heavy rain, hail and gusty winds are possible later this afternoon and early evening. The public should be aware of the risk of very localised surface water flooding, particularly if the thunderstorms affect urban areas.

The breeze here has backed a bit recently from ESE to E. Upper steering is SSW.Very sultry feel with thin altocirrus and a few poppy Cu underneath.
. . . and here we go.

I think that cell over Caen is going to miss us, but likely I'll get to see the anvil overspill soon anyway.
Cells going up in Dorset.
