A nasty, deeply unpleasant cold wet washout of a day. Raining non-stop with 16.0mm so far and a peak rate of 49.4mm/hr. I could be in line to record my wettest ever summer week - just need another 14mm or so to fall and this looks set to last all day 

Temperatures are truly awful. 13.4C and falling having been no lower than 14.5C overnight.

Weather has reverted back to usual boring summer fare. Quite breezy, cloudy ,and only 22degrees here in West London despite the sunny breaks.
I get the impression with one or two exceptions to come this is what to expect for August? Boring westerlies and potentially more rain and much cooler temperatures especially after this week?
