The Sherminator's evolution from gimp to England legend is almost complete.

England just playing shots here trying to get as many as possible. The wicket is all over the place. I think England may have enough already if we bowl to our potential.

Well played, Tim Bresnan - hope he gets his half century.

No point hanging around waiting for the bullet with your name on it... might as well take as many of the enemy down with you before you go, as it were!

Brilliant from England's lower order. The convicts have no chance of winning this game IMO

Good - and extremely valuable - contributions from the tail, though

Interesting stat:

In England's last 12 matches where they've batted twice, they've scored more runs in the second innings than the first 6 times

But that only tells half the story. In the other six games, they twice declared their second innings before they had reached their first-innings total, twice chased down a low total, and were once stopped mid-innings by rain.

I'd say England have a real problem posting a big 1st innings total to throw down the gauntlet and put the opposition under pressure from the off, and I think it's purely down to mental attitude

I think this could be a test of Cooke's cautious captaincy. IF the Aussies start to look like they may chase down the total, will he have the flair and imagination to stop them.

Then again, if Matty is right it will the above will be hypothetical

This is a situation where one or more bowlers have to stand up and produce.  Realistically we need only to get the Aussies four down for around 100.  Even at 150-4 you'd still back England.

Easy start for the Aussies, the ball doing nothing, a bit damp, I'm starting to get twitchy...

Another rubbish umpiring decision. Rodgers survives in review.

Broad back to bowling absolute dross. He'll never be a consistent performer for me.

Breakthrough needed ASAP. This could easily go either way

Maybe its time to throw the ball to Ian Bell?

3-nil would flatter England big time if we win this Test. Looks doubtful at the moment though.

Yorkshire beat Durham chasing 340 in the 4th innings earlier this year so it can be done.

3-0 would hugely flatter England, at least tightly contested matches will be a wake up call for the Winter

The second test was as big a thrashing as you'll see.

The third test we kept in touch and no one can say what would have happened had we had a fully dry day on the 5th.

In this test we have had the upper hand until now.

Admittedly we aren't bowling very well at them in this innings, but it ain't over yet.

We have been the better side by a distance overall. That's not to say the convicts haven't had sessions where they've been on top.

The weather saved England in the last test Matty you can't deny that and I'm sorry but England haven't been on top in this test at all, how do you work that out?

Just want that gimp-faced cock Warner out. It'd be shitjustice if he guided the convicts to victory in this Test

The game is over for England unfortunately. When the opposition starts a chase of this size with a century partnership, it's highly unlikely that they will lose.

Still no 400 in an innings for England this summer. You have to go all the way back to 1986 for the last time England didn't score 400 in a home summer of 6 or 7 tests.
