Indeed, and it has brighten up a lot since then as it's now quite sunny as I type (it was quite dull and overcast when I woke up at 6.30 am).
   There is also an improvement in air quality as well as it feeling fresher (it did feel rather muggy and rather "smoky" last night but it's probably me being all menopausal).

UPDATE at 9.30 am: Mist and low cloud is now rolling in from the Channel as I type, trying to take over the clear skies we have had for the past hour.

LAST NIGHT: Clear breaks and varied cloud amounts.
THIS MORNING: It started off as being quite dull and rather hazy but then it brightened up during the course of the morning. However, low cloud did roll in from the Channel for a time but it didn't last long.
THIS AFTERNOON: Lengthy spells of hazy sunshine.
CURRENT: Fine with a hazy sunset.         20.0 C.        83% humidity.      dewpoint: 17.0 C.        Moderate south west breeze.        Falling slowly to 1020.4 mb.

WINDS: Moderate south west breeze the whole time.
AIR QUALITY: It was poor last night (very smoky in nature) but improved a lot by morning and it turned out quite fresh for the rest of the day.
VISIBILITY: Fair and hazy, especially this morning.
COMFORT FACTOR: It turned out just a little fresher today due to the breezy wind. Still felt warm in the hazy sunshine though but wasn't that inviting enough to make me want to sit in the garden. Continuing dry.
