A decent day yesterday, with the exception of one shower in the morning. Welcome since I had two gable end windows to replace before Sunday's stormy weather arrives. Got it all done, which is great. Just now its dry and calm with some weak sunshine. Not cold.

All change tomorrow and monday for us...wet and windy with gales, likely severe at times.

Heavy soaking drizzle and has been all morning. Got absolutely soaked on my 10K run this morning. Wind from the NW. Temperature, a cool 12°. Autumn is here.

LAST NIGHT: Cloudy with some rain for most of the night, although the rain itself was mostly light in nature and even petered out in the early hours. It was also quite foggy over the hills.

Evening,

A beautiful day today with pleasant sunshine and light winds. Just a few light showers. But, the cloud has moved in and this hearalds the nosedive that is about to take place in our weather. Everything is in the forecast for us over the next three days...thunder, lightning, severe gales, heavy rain, much colder temperatures and even the prospect of the autumns first snow for the highest mountain summits. Yellow MO rain and gale warnings are in force for us now and much of Calmac's west coast operation has been scaled back already. Expect the obligatory A87 Skye Bridge warning to take effect later tonight.

A very interesting spell of weather to come.
