At long last some seasonal temperatures to come, rather than the absurdity we've had of late. Today has been cooler but tomorrow should be much more like October. And some nice squally showers to go with it....excellent! It is nice to finally see snow in the forecast again, though it is October so overdue for our mountains. After the showers tomorrow some lovely crisp winter sunshine to come

Indeed as summer continued unabated, it took ages to get started up and now it doesn't want to leave (even though we did think Autumnal weather was set to kick in as planned but it changed it's mind).

This was taken by me this afternoon.




Observations between 9 pm last night and 9 pm currently.

LAST NIGHT: Clear spells and partial cloud cover.
THIS MORNING: It started off as being dull and murky but brightened up during the course of the morning until it became quite sunny by mid-day.
THIS AFTERNOON: Lengthy sunny spells and patchy cloud cover.
CURRENT: Becoming cloudy.      16.5 C.       92% humidity.         Dewpoint: 15.1 C.        Light south west winds.          Steady at 1024.1 mb.

WINDS: Light west last night, then light south west during the day.
AIR QUALITY: Very good.
VISIBILITY: Poor to fair first thing this morning, then excellent during the day.
COMFORT FACTOR: Damp this morning, drier in the afternoon. It felt very warm once the sun got going, I even caught the sun on the face as I went for an afternoon stroll along the beach.
RAINFALL (in mm):   Nil.
TEMPERATURES (in C):       Max: 19.7 at 1.30 pm.           Min: 11.5 at 1.30 am.
PRESSURE (in mb):          Max: 1025.2 at 9 pm last night.        Min: 1023.4 at 2.30 pm.
