Morning,
Finally the mild dross is out of the way and we have something much more autumnal. Currently it is dry with squally showers and a gale force north westerly wind, which has topped 50mph overnight. Between showers we have gorgeous clear blue sky and crisp air. Feeling very cold though, with temps down about 5C on this time yesterday and a sub zero wind chill.
Getting the mild dross and its assdcoaited cloud out of the way allowed us to witness one of the best auroras for years overnight. It was so intense you could make out the greens and columns with the naked eye. If you want to see some really great pictures check out the GlenDale Skye Auroras page here: https://www.facebook.com/GlendaleSkyeAuroras?fref=ts
He has a stunning shot of the Aurora over Neist Point and it should win awards. I don't have an SLR camera nor a tripod but even my point and click was able to get some nice shots as well.....
