What a fabulous radar return right now for the SE - if it was only February. Strong NE gale, bright echoes on radar, convergence zones formed by the estuary.

As it is, just cold, wet and windy. Ah well. Time to light the fire 🙂

46mm since 9AM yesterday!

I'm glad it's not February, as it would have been rain then as well - it was a warm sector  (dewpoints were above 13C from 8PM to 2AM) and now that the warm, humid air has moved away the rain has stopped.


In February it would have just been a day of rain with perhaps some sleety stuff as it moved away.

14mm so far this month...might October follow August and September as being considerably drier than average up here? Only 70mm for the three months combined (to date).

Sunday was the wettest day here this year so far, notching up 23mm of rain.  Most of that fell from late evening into the overnight period.


It's brought my October total to 54mm so far.
