The last week of October 2008 was unusually cold with some of the earliest season snowfalls in the south for years.
Countryfile forecast on the 26th October indicated how cold the coming was going to be.
Pretty remarkable maxima forecast for the following day on the 27th October forecast, 3C to 6c maxima from Northern England northwards.
Three forecasts from 28th October 2008, where some parts in the south saw lying snow.
