A lot of thunderstorms to the south of the parent low at present. These very close to the west of Ireland
Fierce squall line went through around 5.15am this morning. Rain was torrential
The ex-Wales-Manchester storm just trundled through here, some nice pink CGs plus mostly CCs to follow with some very heavy rain in the tail. Tres bon.

I assume TORRO will do an investigation. Some major damage there and seeing a door buried like that usually implies powerful vorticity in my experience
Light shower turned to a heavy downpour..Then sun came out.
Could well be some thunder on this trough moving up the Channel.
Occasional sferics from the band of showers stretching east towards London

Vast MCS in the Med... no Estofex warning for that one.
In other news, I've caught wind of a positive lightning strike having occured in Reading yesterday. I do remember hearing a sudden booming sound that was intense but short lived. I immediately said 'what the fridge was that?'
Obviously I didn't really use the word fridge

Don't know where to put this .The LP out west is one of the most photogenic I've ever seen!
Amazing that the models only project a bit of a gale and a brief band of rain.
